Today, Public Policy Solutions launched a six-figure TV and digital ad campaign supporting President Trump’s call to fight back against the European Union’s attempts to cripple America’s most innovative companies and calling on the administration to consider equal treatment of European companies operating in the United States.
The campaign, titled “Bad Allies,” exposes the European Union for aggressively targeting U.S. tech and telecom companies while expecting unfettered access to the U.S. market.
The European Union has attacked American innovation for too long; it’s time we fought back,” said John Czwartacki, Co-founder of Public Policy Solutions. “From overreaching regulations and massive fines to baseless investigations, the EU is trying to cripple America’s most innovative companies. Yet, Europe expects its companies to enjoy unfettered access to the U.S. market. U.S. officials should support President Trump’s bold step to initiate a Section 301 Investigation into Europe’s unfair practices and re-evaluate federal contracts with European companies. Failure to stand up for American companies will only strengthen our mutual enemies, weaken our alliance, and harm innovation in America and Europe alike.”
Public Policy Solutions is calling on U.S. officials to take three steps:
- Immediately launch the Section 301 investigation President Trump demanded.
- Reevaluate federal government contracts for European companies.
- Scrutinize options for reciprocal regulations across all U.S. government agencies.
The ad responds to President Trump’s demand for a Section 301 investigation into Europe, where he said: “The United States of America is not a ‘PIGGYBANK’ for Europe, nor will we allow it to be! Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that we will immediately initiate a 301 Investigation into the practice of ‘ROBBING’ American Companies and, in turn, the American Taxpayer.”
